Getting there
DAY 1 : 9:15 AM Morning bus to LinAn 临安. Departs from Shanghai South Long Bus Station (behind the Shanghai south railway station). 80rmb/pax I think. It takes 3 hrs to reach LinAn.
In LinAn, share a cab directly to the GuestHouse (around 150 rmb for 1 hr 1/2)
OR, you can take a minibus to 於潜镇 it costs 10 yuan and takes 50minutes.
Then, another minibus to 马山村 it costs 10 yuan and takes 30minutes – or, taxi from 於潜镇 to the GuestHouse.
You will arrive around 3pm at the GuestHouse.
Coming Back
DAY 3 : they have an early bus that goes through 於潜镇 and then 临安. GuestHouse staff can drop you at 於潜镇 if they have car and time (usually ok). Departs from LinAn at 8am I think.
Buy the return tickets on Day 1 when you arrive in LinAn. I think you have to wait until 2pm afternoon to buy the tickets.
OR, ask the staff, they might be able to get you tickets.
Other possibilities : LinAn to Shanghai bus. Departs 9:00AM something and 2:00 PM. Check the schedule/buy your tickets when arriving in LinAn.
OR: LinAn to Hangzhou by bus, then train to Shanghai.
