Sometimes very funny. This day in Qingdao you could see couples aligned, waiting to be photographed on their turn. There were photograph teams every 100m on the rocks near the sea.

Here are the pictures from my trip in July 2006. Where had I been?
First, after a 30hrs trip seating in a packed out car, we arrive in Guilin (桂林).
From this town, in Guangxi Province in Southern Central China, we headed out to Longsheng and its ricefield terrace… amazing landscapes if there is no mist… We couldn’t see further than 10m…
Next step, down to Yangshuo, nice Town for backpackers, with amazing landscape again, like traditionnal chinese landscapes paintings.
Then, jump on a night train (15hrs) to Guangzhou (Canton, 广州), spend one day there, and jump in a night train again to Xiamen (厦门) in Fujian Province. Arrived there, we head on to the Hakka tribe (客家人) ancient houses : the Tulou (土楼), made of earth.

Waaaaa. That was great.

hidoo, I’m back from Xinjiang… that was a WONDERFUL, ASTONISHING trip, full of nice places, nice people, nice food, nice…… it was GREAT !
